Case Study: AC Installation in Private House, Wandsworth, London
Project Overview
Our client in Wandsworth, London, required a high-quality and efficient air conditioning system for their private residence. The system was designed by Cooling Services24 in collaboration with the client’s designer to ensure seamless integration with the property’s aesthetics and functionality. After careful consideration, a Carrier VRF system was selected due to its reliability, advanced control features, and ability to maintain a temperature as low as 16°C in each room.
System Design & Equipment Selection
- First Floor: Three rooms were equipped with hidden ducted units, ensuring a discreet and elegant installation.
- Second Floor: Wall-mounted units were installed in the office and children’s room, optimizing space efficiency.
- Ground Floor: Customised grill panels by Baumeister Constructions Service Ltd were installed for the wine room, providing a premium and aesthetically pleasing solution.
- Garden House: A Fujitsu wall-mounted split system was installed separately to offer independent climate control.
Unique Installation Challenge
One of the significant challenges in this project was pipework routing, as the outdoor unit had to be placed 30 meters into the garden at the back of the property. This required meticulous planning to ensure efficiency while minimizing visual impact on the property’s exterior.
Installation Process
- Pipework Installation: Laid out and secured the necessary piping to accommodate the system design.
- Equipment Installation: Installed all indoor and outdoor units, ensuring precise alignment with the structural layout.
- Pressure Testing: Conducted rigorous testing to confirm system integrity and performance.
- Commissioning: Successfully commissioned the system, ensuring optimal operation.
- Client Handover & Warranty: Provided the client with a full warranty covering both installation and equipment, along with an extra complimentary service scheduled for the following year.

The installed Carrier system enables individual room temperature control, ensuring personalized comfort for all occupants. The seamless integration of ducted units, wall-mounted systems, and custom grill panels achieved both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality.
